T-Rex Solutions is looking for an Analyst to support the IRS IT Applications Development (AD) Data Delivery Services (DDS) organization's data modernization efforts, transitioning on-prem data and business intelligence (BI) processing to a new cloud-based platform called the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This project will involve analyzing the current BI portfolio and creating a release plan that establishes what legacy functionality needs to be reengineered, rebuilt, and incrementally operationalized onto the new platform, and completing a Proof of Concept to determine the solution approach for migrating and refactoring their data.

You will help support data modernization activities and be responsible for a variety of business and functional tasks including, but not limited to, requirements gathering standards, guidelines, and analyzing phase methodology to meet the client's overall objectives. You will also assist in providing client meeting and deliverable support as required, define and document solution requirements, support technical teams, and help identify relevant delivery risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support efforts to assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and/or business solution.
  • Develop requirements based on input from project stakeholders including Assembler developers and business tax consultants.
  • Create use cases from requirements. Determine test methods for each use case.
  • Research, gather and synthesize information from disparate internal information repositories into Plain Language.
  • Maintain requirements in requirements tool.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in scrum planning and daily reporting.
  • Document service levels and performance requirements to ensure they meet established quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 3+ years of experience working with clients and client deliverables on tight deadlines
  • Active IRS MBI clearance and current GFE preferred, non-cleared candidates will still be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning).
  • Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems.
  • Experience with use case development for event-driven applications.
  • Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
  • Experience with the IBM mainframe, Linux and Windows servers, and cloud deployments.
  • Experience with QSAM file structures.
  • Experience with noSQL and SQL databases.
  • Experience actively using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Experience using Microsoft Visio (or comparable).

Professional skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
  • Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
