Location: New Carrollton, Md (Remote, residing in Washington D.C. Metro area preferred)

Description/Responsibilities:

Anakim Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst, the successful candidate will:

• Support efforts to assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and/or business solution.
• Develop requirements based on input from project stakeholders including Assembler developers and business tax consultants.
• Create use cases from requirements.
• Determine test methods for each use case.
• Research, gather and synthesize information from disparate internal information repositories into Plain Language.
• Maintain requirements in requirements tool.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in scrum planning and daily reporting.Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence
• Experience in conducting Integration and Acceptance testing, as well as in creating comprehensive test cases, test strategies, and test plans.
• Additionally, expertise in developing automated regression test suites.
• Familiarity with Java is an added advantage
• Document service levels and performance requirements to ensure they meet established quality standards.

Position Requirements

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above is preferred and minimum 3 years of relative experience. (Note: More experience is required for non-degreed candidates)
• Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning).
• Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems.
• Experience with use case development for event-driven applications.
• Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
• Experience with the IBM mainframe, Linux and Windows servers, and cloud deployments.
• Experience with QSAM file structures.
• Experience with noSQL and SQL databases.
• Experience actively using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience using Microsoft Visio (or comparable).

• Excellent time management
• Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals.
