Financial Analyst (Regular, Full-time)
Finance & Accounting
Reporting to the Budget Officer, the Financial Analyst provides reporting, control, and analytical support for finance and administrative functions at the museum.
Requirements:
- Conducts research and performs analysis for the Finance office and the Museum in general.
- Assists with developing, analyzing, and controlling the Museum’s budget, monitoring to ensure efficient use of Museum resources
- Projects include:
- Creating budgets and drafting grant reports
- Reconciling project budgets and activity, such as for exhibition programs
- Reviewing payment requests and monitoring expense allocations
- Creating correcting journal entries
- Make recommendations about Museum-wide financial policies and procedures
- Conducts training to other departments on proper finance and accounting procedures
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Benefits:
- The expected annual salary for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $75,000-$80,000, subject to change, and the position is eligible for LACMA’s comprehensive benefits package, including pension plan.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience drafting budgets, creating reports, and auditing and improving processes.
- Proficient in Excel with excellent quantitative and analytical abilities
- Understanding of accounting fundamentals, particularly in a Nonprofit setting.
