Overview: The HMDA Analyst is responsible for ensuring HMDA data is accurate and in compliance with the most recent regulatory and bank standards. This role is responsible for assisting in any internal and external HMDA audits.
Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for ensuring MCU’s compliance with HMDA reporting requirements by performing a post close compliance audit on originated and non-originated applications.
- Accountable for verifying the completeness and accuracy of the data reported, timely reporting and communication to MCU’s lending team with regard to HMDA issues and inquiries, and ensuring satisfactory internal and external HMDA audits.
- Review and assist in certifying the accuracy of HMDA data submitted to the institution’s reporting agency through imaged documents and review of the various loan operating systems.
- Communicate discrepancies in HMDA data with appropriate business units within MCU
- Assists in problem-solving and suggesting enhancements to processes/procedures.
- Assist in performing a quarterly upload of all HMDA data to MCU's HMDA software.
- Perform any additional loan application register maintenance, including but not limited to, calculating rate spreads, census tract data, and running edit checks.
- Subject matter expert of all HMDA regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with data reporting and train business units as needed.
- Maintain a high-level of expertise in MCU’s HMDA software.
- Assist in the annual submission of HMDA data to the appropriate regulatory reporting agency.
- Work closely with business units to answer any HMDA related questions.
- Assist in the development of procedures and checklists to ensure that the data captured, analyzed, and reported is accurate.
- Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage experience
- Minimum of 1 year HMDA experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with FHA, VA, conventional and Investor programs
- Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Technologically proficient

Salary: $41.21 to 46.41/hour
