All community center staff Rate of Pay : 84,783.61 Annually Closing Date : 11/28/2024 Benefits : Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following: Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disability insurance Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire) Vacation benefit – 20 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0769 hours for each hour worked (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment) One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually, but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-month introductory period of employment) Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan) Function The Corps Center Director for the Denver Red Shield will supervise all community center programs, After School Program, and activities. This position is also responsible for supervising all community center staff, contracted teachers, and volunteers. Duties and Responsibilities Work in a distinctively Christian environment and promote Christian ideals in every facet of the program. Develop relationships with existing full-time Salvation Army staff. Engage the community to understand their service interests and best delivery methods. Coordinate facility usage to maximize its potential and add new beneficial programs. Recruit, hire, and monitor all paid and volunteer program staff. Work with the Corps Officers (CO) in preparing an annual operating budget. Provide support and direction for Red Shield programs and events. Develop policy and procedure manuals, Emergency Action Plans, and rental rates. Market the facility and its programs. Communicate physical plant needs to the CO. Provide routine program reports to the CO and Advisory Council. Maintain a self-motivated and self-directed schedule. Address multiple projects in a timely manner. Take projects from beginning through completion with detail-oriented responsiveness. Teach and delegate tasks to ensure effective time management. Interact positively and professionally with co-workers and the public. Work with limited supervision in a team setting. Exercise good judgment and take initiative with projects. Work independently with a high degree of independence and decision-making. Perform other duties as required. Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications Minimum five years of progressive full-time management of recreation facilities. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Proficient with current software programs including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, and standard office equipment. Supportive of The Salvation Army’s mission. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Colorado Driver's License. An annual MVR will be processed according to The Salvation Army’s policies.

Continued employment contingent on a biennial background check. Physical Requirements Ability to maneuver and remain stationary. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate a telephone and lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from a computer. Ability to understand written information.
