The team you will be a part of InSinkErator, a Whirlpool Corporation company and the world's largest manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers, is seeking an exceptional Global Supply Chain Leader to drive our strategic initiatives and operational excellence. As part of the InSinkErator team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our 80-year legacy of innovation and industry leadership. The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales.
This role in summary As the Director of Supply and Logistics, you will spearhead the development and execution of InSinkErator's supply chain strategy, aligning it with our overall business objectives and Whirlpool Corporation's global supply chain vision. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the complexities of international operations while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include
Develop and execute the overall global supply chain strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Collaborate with the business and key functional areas to understand the needs of the business, prioritizing focus areas for execution and aligning resources to execution.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and improve supply chain effectiveness.
Manage the budget for the supply chain departments, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Lead the team responsible for warehousing and distribution, global logistics, trade and environmental compliance and international order fulfillment.
Lead sales, inventory and operation planning process, manage cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to appropriately balance availability and operations.
Lead Demand Planning execution and supply planning through Heijunka (which includes indirect responsibility of Manila resources).
Lead the strategic sourcing team responsible for procurement of direct/indirect materials and finished goods at favorable total costs, while balancing quality, inventory and customer service requirements.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the supply chain teams, implementing best practices and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
Oversee sourcing strategies to support new product launches and supply base regionalization efforts.
Develop and Manage an efficient and effective Supplier Quality Development function.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in a senior leadership role within a global environment.
A minimum of five (5) years of people leadership experience.
Experience managing cross-functional partnerships and collaborating with various business units.
Experience with supply chain technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
Preferred skills and experiences
MBA or graduate degree is strongly preferred.
Experience in warehouse/logistics, strategic sourcing, trade & environmental compliance, S&OP, International Sourcing and Supplier Quality Development preferred.
Ten (10) years managing with a global organization.
Strategic negotiation skills to drive to acceptable alternatives that satisfy multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage through competing priorities to focus the team on the most impactful work.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, preferably in the consumer goods or appliance industry.
