Job Title: Warehouse Cherry Picker (high reach)
Type of Role: Contract to hire
- Shift / Hours: 2nd Shift Weekdays. Mon-Thurs 7pm-5:30am
- Shift / Hours: 1st Shift Weekends Fri-Sun 7am-7pm
Location: West Jordan, Utah
Hourly Range: $24.50/hr
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker to join our warehouse team. The Cherry Picker will be responsible for operating a cherry picker to pick orders and load/unload materials in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate a cherry picker to pick orders accurately and efficiently
- Cherry Pickers are wire guided and reach up to 35ft in the air
- Load and unload materials using the cherry picker
- Perform basic warehouse management tasks such as inventory control and organizing stock
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and orders
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines while operating the cherry picker
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed
- Ability to lift heavy objects when required
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
Skills/Requirements:
- 3 years of proficiency in operating a cherry picker
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with order picking and warehouse operations
- Strong basic math skills for inventory management
- Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations
- Capability to handle shipping and receiving tasks efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
