The University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine and the Department of Neurological Surgery is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is engaging in a nationwide search for senior researchers to further develop and expand our research portfolio, with a specific emphasis in the area of neuro-oncology computation and imaging analysis. The Department of Neurological Surgery is committed to offering a dynamic learning environment and growth opportunities to faculty, residents, and staff. As an expanding Department whose mission is to educate tomorrow's surgeon scientists, we remain committed to ensuring the future of our specialty is maximally diverse and equitable, and that we consistently lead with respect, integrity, and inclusion. The selected candidates will be responsible for research, teaching and university/department service. The appropriate appointment at Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. The series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding or 100% Ladder Rank.
