GWSB Graduate Programs is searching for a Program Manager, Graduate Programs to support Masters in Business Analytics students, faculty, and staff. This specialized program prepares students by blending the study of sophisticated business analytics principles and methods with a best-in-class management education. The innovative curriculum balances real-world practice and academic theory. The purpose of these senior-level positions is to provide coordination and program management on behalf of an academic program or initiative. This role will serve as a point of contact for the program, will answer typical and complex program questions from faculty, staff, and students, and will provide functional support and management for the program administration. Functional support could include answering external inquiries, enrollment guidance and basic academic advising, managing web presence and marketing efforts, drafting program materials, managing course evaluations, developing new programming, planning and executing events, tracking spending and processing payments, assisting with fellowship and grant opportunities, preparing and analyzing reports, and similar duties. Often these positions make recommendations to policy and procedure, and they are tasked with outreach to other GW stakeholders in order to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies. This position does not have direct reports but often schedules, trains, and supervises temporary staff or student workers or leads other program staff. Typical duties often are administrative in nature and are under limited supervision or are independent of more senior personnel within the department or program. This position reports directly to the Director, Master of Science Programs in collaboration with a Faculty Program Director. This position does not have direct reports but may supervise student workers. The position splits time between academic advising, academic administration, and student engagement. The primary focus of the position is the academic responsibilities including advising, policy creation and enforcement, and working with the Director of Marketing to develop communications. Key Responsibilities Include:

Academic Responsibilities

Serving as the primary academic advisor for students. Advising students, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies and procedures. Assisting with the creation, implementation, and enforcement of program-level, GWSB and university policies. Verifying and approving students' eligibility to graduate. Collaborating with the GWSB Director of Marketing to develop marketing communications, such as web content and social media; maintaining student degree audits in DegreeMAP; and monitoring the academic progress of all students. Administrative Responsibilities

Implementing curriculum sequencing for all versions of the programs (e.g., hybrid, online, and on-campus formats). Developing and implementing the program course schedule; assisting with the generation and compilation of data and statistics for course demand and current students; coordinating the registration process to ensure retention. Assisting the Director, Master of Science Programs, Faculty Director, Business Analytics, and Associate Dean, Graduate Programs with the development of strategic plans for program implementation, enrollment management, and curriculum innovation and development. Student Engagement Responsibilities

Developing and implementing the current student communication plan, including targeted student emails and social media. Assisting with the development and implementation of student engagement activities including speakers, conferences, workshops, and networking opportunities. Assisting with the development and implementation of the Graduate Programs online and on-campus orientations, including the development of the program-specific activities; and support of all Commencement activities offered by the program, GWSB, and the University. Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. This position is a hybrid position. Hybrid work is defined as job functions that can be performed effectively in a combination of on- and off-campus locations. Employees may have dedicated space or typically have a personal or shared workspace assigned or available to them at an on-campus site. Employees in this category may have essential roles, duties and/or responsibilities yet have flexibility to determine how best to perform their work when and where needed. Telecommuting agreement must be implemented. Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in academic affairs, academic advising for students with complex advising backgrounds, extensive experience managing graduate-level academic program management preferred. Experience with CRM systems and data management tools, applicable in a University setting (e.g. Banner, Cognos, Tableau, ThotSpot, DegreeMap, Salesforce, Courseleaf, Documentum/ECM, advising modules, and self-service systems) is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the program to internal and external audiences. Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail and deadlines and be able to successfully manage multiple priorities. Master's degree in higher education or relevant field preferred.
