Job Description

Akkodis is seekingan Application Offensive Security Consultant for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). This role involves performing red team engagements, identifying application risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security practices.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Application Offensive Security Consultant job responsibilities include:

Conduct manual security assessments of applications and APIs, focusing on identifying vulnerabilities that automated tools may miss.

Perform red teaming engagements to simulate adversarial attacks and evaluate the security posture of applications.

Collaborate with Security Architects, Risk Managers, and Product Managers to provide SME guidance and ensure security best practices are implemented.

Develop comprehensive reports on assessment findings, documenting vulnerabilities and providing recommendations for remediation.

Continuously stay updated on emerging security threats, methodologies, and tools to enhance testing capabilities.

Act as a subject matter expert in application security, responding to technical inquiries and providing guidance on application defense strategies.

Test countermeasures and identify potential bypasses to strengthen overall application security.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in application security testing.

Expertise in manual testing techniques and a deep understanding of application vulnerabilities.

Strong experience with red teaming engagements and tools like Burp Suite Professional OWASP ZAP.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
