Duties and Responsibilities of Residential Service Technician
Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs.
Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.

Top Skills Details

1. Ideally 2+ years of experience installing residential security. Installation panel experience is preferred. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Command, Honeywell, GE, Concord, DSC or Ademco panels.
2. 1+ years of experience installing or servicing wireless alarm radios, residential camera systems and DVR systems.
3. 1+ years of experience installing electronics and knowledge of basic low voltage circuits.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
