Who We Seek
Hispanic Federation seeks a Director for Contracts, responsible for overseeing the administration, compliance and execution of public sector contracts within the organization. The director will oversee and support government contracts from various government bodies (city, state, federal); oversee subcontracting and regranting of funds affiliated with public sector contracts and agreements; and liaise with program managers and leadership throughout the life cycle of the contracts – providing critical updates and reports as needed.
The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to accurately complete a range of tasks as they relate to contract execution necessary for successful and timely grant acquisition, distribution, and management. This position reports to the Vice President for Grantmaking and Capacity Building, works closely with the Director for Grants, Grants Manager and finance department and oversees the work of the Contracts Manager.
This position is a hybrid position and will require 50% onsite presence to the HF Headquarters in New York City.

Job Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including program managers, finance teams, and legal counsel, to ensure clear communication and understanding of contract requirements and objectives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for government agency representatives, external partner organizations, intradepartmental program leads, and other possible stakeholders, both internal and external; foster positive relationships and effective collaboration.
Collaborate with program leads to identify and understand contractual needs and develop appropriate contract structures.
Ensure all contract reporting requirements are outlined and compliant with public sector regulations.
Review contracts (subcontractors and consultants) for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare government funding requests in collaboration with the development department.
Coordinate voucher submissions with finance department and contract manager.
Maintain a comprehensive records of all contracts, tracking key deadlines and obligations.
Monitor and manage contract performance, ensuring that all parties fulfill their obligations.
Prepare, finalize, and submit contract reports as necessary to the appropriate government agencies.
Maintain accurate and up to date (electronic and hard-copy) contract records.
Prepare and present monthly reports (contracting spreadsheet) on contract status, including key metrics, compliance issues, and performance indicators to share with internal stakeholders.
Ensure data integrity into HF’s CRM, execute data entry as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in nonprofit management, administration, or law; a minimum for four (4) years of professional experience is required with focus on contract management and oversight in the nonprofit sector with government contracts highly desired.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to synthesize contract language and prepare benchmarks for deliverables.
Strong financial and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Must be able to function well in a fast-paced work environment, able to respond to multiple requests for assistance simultaneously.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; experience with other contract tracking is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible and collaborative spirit.
Ability to speak Spanish or another language is strongly preferred.
Ability to prioritize and assess competing deadlines to ensure programmatic success.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. Compensation includes a robust benefits package with fully paid medical, dental, vision insurance available as of the first day of employment; 403(B) retirement plan – eligible for a company match of up to 6%; access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.
Full-time regular employees are also provided with fifteen (15) vacation days, four (4) personal days, and paid sick time.
