Cyber Security Intern

We are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Intern to join our team and support our security operations. This role provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity and is ideal for candidates interested in protecting systems, data, and networks against evolving cyber threats. As a Cyber Security Intern, you will work alongside experienced security professionals to monitor and respond to potential security incidents, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to security projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats under the guidance of senior security analysts.
• Assist in investigating, documenting, and escalating security incidents.

Threat Analysis and Research:

• Conduct research on current security threats and trends to help enhance threat intelligence capabilities.
• Participate in the evaluation and testing of new security tools and technologies.

Vulnerability Management:

• Perform basic vulnerability scans and assist with vulnerability management processes.
• Work with IT and development teams to verify and remediate identified vulnerabilities.

Security Awareness and Training:

• Support the development of security awareness materials for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in employee training sessions to promote best security practices.

Policy and Compliance:

• Assist with reviewing and updating cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Support compliance initiatives (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO) by helping maintain documentation and logs.
