Assistant Professor in Developmental or Stem Cell Biology The Department of Cell and Tissue Biology (CTB) and Program in Craniofacial Biology (PCB) in the School of Dentistry at the University of California San Francisco invite applications for a junior investigator Tenure-Track or In Residence faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or DDS degree (or equivalent degree) and a productive post-doctoral training record in the area of Developmental or Stem Cell Biology. The successful candidate will apply this expertise to developing a robust research program with a mechanistic focus in areas including but not limited to morphogenesis, bioengineering, organoid biology, cancer cell biology, or transcriptional and epigenetic regulation that complement existing research in the department, program, and school. Craniofacial Biology . Candidates must show evidence of research excellence in their field, be a strong communicator, and exhibit strength in teaching as well as in mentoring. The successful candidate will become a member of one or more UCSF graduate programs, such as Biomedical Sciences (BMS), Developmental and Stem Cell Biology (DSCB) and Oral and Craniofacial Sciences (OCS), and contribute to teaching, mentoring and training. CTB and PCB seek candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment and ongoing support system for diversity and excellence. This preparation is important to help our faculty enrich the training environment for the diverse graduate student and postdoctoral communities at UCSF. Salary Information For positions that are 51% effort or more: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500 - $146,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The total negotiated salary for this position will include the base salary plus the negotiated component, determined at the time of offer. For positions that are 50% effort or less: See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $86,500 - $112,800. Application Requirements
