The Security Supervisor is integral to the team as they will be directly involved with the security guards, handling scheduling and changes, offering support on reported issues, answering questions, developing the team, and building processes that will maintain DR Security standards.
This role oversees the everyday operations of security guards within their assigned facilities. While the role will require 30 hours as a primary security guard, this position will also require 10 hours of administrative duties each pay period.

Responsibilities
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring access points, investigating incidents
- Meet with the Director weekly to discuss areas of concern and learn about upcoming projects or company needs.
- Collaborate with Director to add and adjust schedules as spontaneous needs appear, ensuring the appropriate level of coverage at each facility.
- Act as first line of contact for guards for callouts or shift changes after schedule is released.
- Assist with after-hours calls as needed.
- Review timesheets as requested by Director.
- Evaluate employee job performance and make recommendations.
- Collaborate with Director on corrective action for employees who do not follow company policies.
- Field calls from security guards, offering guidance on proper procedure and proactively watching for trends that require solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the Director to update and maintain a list of current guards' schedule availability and location preferences.
- Collaborate with the Director to draft and maintain Security Policies and Procedures for each facility.
- Offer ideas on improving safety, work morale, and the performance of staff to better the business both for specific locations and the company.
- Act as an emergency replacement in case of an absence of a guard for temporary periods.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director or other leadership.
Skills
- Proven experience as security officer or guard, strong conflict resolution skills
- Experience in security managerial duties, scheduling and conflict resolution required.
- Operates with flexibility and adaptability to any environment, making immediate decisions and resolving conflict.
- Operate in highly stressful situations from both internal and external sources.
- Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
