Precision Security Team is a veteran owned and operated company in the northern Colorado area. We service areas from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY. In operation since 2018, we have grown exponentially, being entrusted with many local government contracts, other critical sites, schools, patrol, events, etc. We pride ourselves with hiring veterans, previous law enforcement, and first responders. As an Unarmed Security Guard with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Guard at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team’s professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct everyday.


Security Guards working in Greeley must obtain a Greeley Security Guard License immediately upon hire.


Critical Roles of the Position:


Interacting with Clients, Patrons, Guests, Partners, Coworkers, and the Public:

  • Serve as a professional and approachable point of contact, offering assistance and information to clients, patrons, and visitors.
  • Build positive relationships through clear communication and friendly interactions while maintaining a strong security presence.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and coworkers to ensure a cohesive and secure environment for all.

De-Escalation:

  • Recognize and address potential conflicts or tense situations before they escalate, using effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure, diffusing disruptive behavior in a respectful and non-confrontational manner.
  • Document and report incidents involving de-escalation to ensure transparency and accountability.

Technology Savvy/Report Writing:

  • Utilize security systems, surveillance equipment, and communication devices efficiently to monitor activities and ensure site safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, using digital tools and software as required.
  • Stay updated on security technology and reporting protocols to adapt to site-specific needs.

Professionalism:

  • Uphold a high standard of professional behavior at all times, reflecting positively on the security team and organization.
  • Adhere to uniform and appearance standards, ensuring a neat and authoritative presence.
  • Treat all individuals with respect and dignity, regardless of the situation or context.

Secure Site to Prevent Vandalism and Theft:

  • Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of assigned areas to deter vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access.
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities, ensuring that all points of entry and sensitive areas are properly secured.
  • Respond swiftly to alarms, suspicious activities, or breaches to maintain a secure environment.

Ability to Work Alone:

  • Perform security duties independently, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation in maintaining safety standards.
  • Make sound decisions when faced with unexpected situations, relying on training and experience to handle challenges effectively.
  • Remain vigilant and alert throughout shifts, even in isolated or low-traffic areas.

Respond to Emergencies:

  • Act quickly and efficiently in response to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches.
  • Follow established emergency protocols to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
  • Assist with crowd control and evacuation procedures, providing guidance and support during critical situations.

Contact Law Enforcement as Necessary:

  • Determine when situations require the involvement of law enforcement and promptly initiate contact.
  • Provide accurate and concise information to responding officers to facilitate a coordinated response.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with law enforcement to ensure smooth collaboration during incidents.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at Assigned Site:

  • Adhere to the specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) outlined for each site, ensuring compliance with all security policies.
  • Stay informed about updates or changes to SOPs and implement them effectively in daily operations.
  • Adapt to site-specific protocols while maintaining consistency in delivering high-quality security services.

Maintaining Confidentiality of All Activities Within Your Site:

  • Safeguard sensitive information and activities observed or reported within the site.
  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential data and interactions, protecting the privacy of clients, guests, and coworkers.
  • Ensure that all reports and documentation adhere to confidentiality protocols and are only shared with authorized personnel.

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: Starting base pay rate is $18.50/hour. Different sites pay different rates. This is a W2 position. Employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits. Colorado is an at-will employment state.


Hiring Process: Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you no less than 24 hours later. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.


Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.


During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.
