Position Overview:

The Vice President of Asset Management will be responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of hotels with the purpose of creating asset value through execution of an investment strategy on a short, intermediate, and long-term basis. Overall responsibilities include strategic oversight of operations to maximize net operating income as well as working with the hotel management company to manage the capital investment program. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Asset Management and interact with the CEO & President of RBHM and other senior team members in the management of each investment.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify value enhancement opportunities within the portfolio and provide input to monthly, quarterly and annual internal reports to the CEO of Rockbridge & the President & COO of RBHM for all assets in the Rockbridge portfolio Use hotel management input, industry analysis/benchmarking, accounting, hotel financial analysis and computer modeling fundamentals to analyze hotel operations, business plans, capital investments, sales & marketing plans and strategic alternatives Stay abreast of markets affecting the hospitality industry and more specifically, the markets in which the assets are located, including supply and demand changes and trends Own the operating performance of the assets to ensure returns are on track with investment goals and work with hotel management partners to ensure owner / operator alignment Regularly visit hotels to meet with hotel General Managers and/or the hotel’s executive committees and regional teams to review monthly & quarterly performance as well as the annual business plans and longer term strategic capital plans Work with hotel management companies to review & execute annual capital plans and strategic 5-year plans that provide attractive returns on investment Proactively strengthen relationships across brands, capital partners, management partners, and other deal constituents Hold operating partners accountable in an effort to maximize profitability Create SWOT analysis & assess risk to each asset within the managed portfolio; take efforts to mitigate such risks

Candidate Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in ownership, asset management, or hotel operations Ability to manage multiple team members Demonstrated ability to act as an owner on a daily basis to achieve the goals of each investment Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong team player that collaborates well with all Rockbridge constituents Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized and results-driven professional
