Baesman Group, a nationally recognized provider of direct-to-customer marketing strategy and multi-channel execution is seeking an experienced Business Development Leader to grow our Customer Engagement and Strategy services. These services include D2C marketing strategy, data analytics, email, SMS, and direct mail execution for mid-size retailers. The Director, Business Development is responsible for acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and strategically positioning the company in the market. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and a strong creative ability to secure new meetings from C-suite to procurement. This is the perfect role for someone with prior agency sales experience and who wants to grow into a sales leader. The services you will be selling are customer engagement strategy and planning, loyalty programs, customer acquisition & nurturing, analysis & reporting, database hosting & management along with direct mail, email, and SMS. Ideally, this role would work out of our Columbus, OH office however remote or hybrid would be considered. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition : Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and networking. Conduct market research to identify prospects that fit the Baesman Ideal Customer Profile. Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage with key decision-makers. Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective clients. Engage with C-Suite executives to understand their business needs and challenges. Leverage industry knowledge to position our solutions effectively and create value for prospects. Needs Assessment and Solution Presentation : Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements and pain points of clients. Analyze client feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for business expansion. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet prospects' needs. Solution Presentation and Selling : Develop and deliver compelling presentations that showcase the company's products or services. Articulate the unique value proposition and benefits of the company's offerings. Pursuit Planning and Proposal Coordination : Develop comprehensive pursuit plans for key opportunities. Coordinate the preparation and submission of proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals. Negotiation and Closure : Assist in the negotiation process, addressing client concerns and ensuring a win-win outcome. Drive opportunities through the sales pipeline to successful closure. Marketing Tools : Enter all information into the CRM platform. You’re strong technically and are comfortable using Teams, PowerPoint and HubSpot experience is a plus. Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience as an Account Executive/ Business Development Leader or in a similar role. Self-starter that knows creative ways to start and build new relationships. Demonstrated success in securing new clients and meeting revenue targets. Strong understanding of business needs and ability to translate them into solutions. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with C-Suite executives. Proven track record of developing pursuit plans and coordinating proposal opportunities. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals successfully. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Business Development experience in a retail agency or related is a plus. Baesman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
