Job Description
Wilmington Delaware client seeks a Customer Service Representative with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt. This Customer Service Representative will engage with customers on order request and updates, create and update customer files, draft customer quotes, assist with inventory management, fulfill customer orders, submit scheduling forms, attend weekly sales meetings, resolve customer inquiries, research and identify areas for process improvement, and provide administrative assistance where needed. The ideal candidate should have great communication skills, strong multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to thrive within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Managing and uploading Excel manifests from importers into the ePorts system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Working within various customer inventory systems such as Famous, and other individual systems, ensuring real-time updates of inventory statuses and order fulfillment.
• Collaborating with customers to determine specific pallets for pickup and providing timely updates on orders and deliveries.
• Monitoring and expediting the flow of goods through the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinating with internal departments, customers, and third-party vendors to address any logistical challenges.
• As needed, arranging and brokering trucking services for transfers of goods to customer warehouses, and monitoring the status of all shipments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Managing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Processing customer inquiries and resolving any concerns related to orders and deliveries.
• Performing inventory analysis and planning, ensuring accurate inventory controls and forecasting.
The ideal Customer Service Representative will ideally have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration but no required.
Other requirements for the Customer Service Representative role include and are not limited to:
· 1+ years logistics/dispatch experience
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills
· High attention to detail
