model is designed to strengthen connections between academic learning and summer career exploration while providing youth with summer employment and educational experiences. These principles include engaging the talents and interests of youth, developing their skills and competencies, and providing positive adult role models. Position: Program Director Reports To: Senior Program Manager Location: 145 Stanton St. New York, NY 10002 What The Program Director Does:
Recruit and prepare high school-aged students for summer employment. Communicate and collaborate regularly and effectively with school staff and administration and CAMBA Learning to Work (LTW) staff. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of temporary youth development employees, and delegate responsibilities as necessary to ensure efficient and consistent program operation. Diligently oversee successful program enrollment, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate. Maintain all DYCD contractual obligations to ensure compliance. Develop and maintain a varied pool of high-quality worksites suitable for many types of work experiences. Work closely with worksites to ensure that participants have a safe, relevant, and fulfilling work experience. Plan and organize program activities to maximize program contract's goals and performance targets. Oversee project-based educational program for younger youth (14 and 15-year-olds), including proposal and approval of engaging curriculum. Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience. Other Requirements:
Must obtain Dept. of Education fingerprint clearance. Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment. Familiarity with transfer schools, and extreme comfort and ability working with students who are under-credit or recently re-enrolled in school. Compensation:
$53,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills, and other factors that may be required for the position and organization. Status:
