Roxbury Tenants of Harvard (RTH) is seeking a dedicated and experienced

Elder Program Manager

to oversee programs for senior residents. The Elder Program Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive portfolio of Age Well programs and activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that programs meet the current and future needs of residents while aligning with RTH's mission, guiding principles, and strategic plan. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for improving the health and wellness of our community.

Responsibilities:

Program:

Research and implement best practices and innovative program models.

Assist in the annual program planning process and development of outcomes and evaluation tools.

Facilitate resident involvement and engagement through neighborhood planning and community building efforts.

Maintain the senior center and facilities to support program participation.

Administrative:

Ensure the safety, staffing, and equipment of the senior center and programs.

Supervise Age Well staff, work study students, and volunteers, including recruitment, training, and evaluation.

Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive and safe work environment.

Maintain accurate record-keeping and respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.

Monitor the senior department program budget and research potential funding sources.

Ideal Candidate:

Prioritizes safety and reflects RTH core values.

Builds relationships and communicates effectively with residents, staff, and volunteers.

Provides feedback, coaching, and support to staff and volunteers.

Flexible work schedule and ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Creative and resourceful thinker with a passion for serving the community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in gerontology or related field preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in aging services or a similar field.

Experience in programming and management of volunteer involvement.

Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required.

Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.

Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.

End Result:

Provide safe, educational, and engaging Age Well programs for residents.

Impact the overall effectiveness of the Senior Department's implementation of the RTH mission.

Provide the community with quality services, programs, and leadership in the Senior Department.
