Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $13-$16 per hour

What’s a typical day as a Customer Service Professional? You’ll be:

• Responding to customer inquiries, and performing research as needed to resolve inquiries.

• Reviewing and adjudicating claims and/or appeals.

• Ensuring effective customer relations by responding accurately, timely, and courteously to telephone, written, web, or walk-in inquiries.

• Identifying incorrectly processed claims and processes adjustments and reprocessing actions according to department guidelines.

• Entering claims into the claim system after verification of correct coding of procedures and diagnosis codes.

• Ensuring claims are processing according to established quality and production standards.

• Identifying complaints and inquiries of a complex level that cannot be resolved following desk procedures and guidelines and refers these to a lead or manager for resolution.

• Identifying and reporting potential fraud and abuse situations.

 

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Have 2 years of call center experience including 1 year of claims or appeals processing.

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.

• Have strong customer service skills.

• Have good spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.

• Have basic business math proficiency.

• Are able to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

• Can work onsite at the client location in Columbia, SC.
