We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Lebanon, Maine. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including handling accounts payable, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries, as well as some HR-related tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing all accounts payable transactions
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Performing general ledger reconciliations to maintain accurate accounting records
• Preparing and recording journal entries as part of the company's financial tracking
• Assisting with audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Undertaking HR-related tasks as required
• Utilizing accounting software systems effectively for all finance-related tasks
• Monitoring and maintaining Paychex payroll operations
• Conducting ledger account reconciliations to ensure correct entries and balances.

• Accounting Software Systems is essential for efficient data management and analysis.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required for streamlined business process management.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is mandatory to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary for managing outgoing payments in a timely manner.

• Familiarity with Auditing procedures is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and identifying discrepancies.

• Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing.

• Skill in Bank Reconciliations is required for maintaining accurate financial records.

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries is needed for recording business transactions.

• Proficiency in Payroll for managing employee pay and benefits

• Expertise in Ledger Account Reconciliation is required for ensuring accurate accounting records
