Robert Half is hiring: Accounting Clerk in Dickinson

Our client located in San Leon, TX is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk must have 3+ years of experience with Full Cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for processing 50 AP invoices, 10 AR invoices weekly as well as collections and cash applications and processing payroll bi-weekly. Experience using Traverse and Paychex are a huge plus. This is a direct hire role paying up to 65K plus benefits and bonus working 100% in office.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Regularly process a variety of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate records

• Utilize software tools such as Paychex and Traverse for various accounting tasks

• Regularly update and maintain financial data and records

• Conduct collections and cash applications as necessary

• Manage full cycle payroll procedures periodically

• Conduct commercial collections when required

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and invoice processing tasks

• Perform other accounting tasks as needed to support the financial health of the organization

• Proven experience in a similar role with at least three years as an Accounting Clerk or similar position in the Service industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Billing procedures and Data Entry tasks
• Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting
• Experience with Invoice Processing
• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll processes
• Knowledge of Paychex software is highly desirable
• Experience in Collections - Commercial and Cash Applications
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
• Able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
• High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
• Relevant degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable.
