We are in search of a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations in the Energy/Natural Resources industry based in Odessa, Texas. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with payroll and tax-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of General Ledger Records
• Process and record cash transactions including ACH, Wire, and Auto Debit transactions
• Reconcile various financial transactions including RLOC, ZBA, and AP Checks
• Manage and reconcile petty cash and ensure appropriate maintenance of vendor records
• Assist with invoice entry when necessary and initiate online payments for various expenses
• Maintain employee payroll records and assist with any related issues
• Track PTO records, reconcile payroll hours, and coordinate payroll processing with third-party processors
• Manage tax-related tasks such as compiling, submitting, and paying state sales tax on a regular basis
• Assist with workers' compensation claims and transmit payroll reporting for insurance purposes
• Ensure proper record and reconciliation of inter-company charges and oversee the use of accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Competency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Ability to perform Billing Functions effectively
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Familiarity with NetSuite
