Job Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager. The selected candidate will join a team in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the accounting and finance department, ensuring that financial activities are in accordance with GAAP standards.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the daily accounting functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), billing, General Ledger (GL), and payroll.
• Safeguarding company assets and ensuring financial integrity by implementing and maintaining internal controls.
• Facilitating collaboration with the CPA firm for the completion of tax-related tasks and filings.
• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close process.
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
• Providing insights and making recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies within the department.
• Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software• Extensive knowledge in various Accounting Functions
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Previous experience in Auditing
• Familiar with Billing Functions and processes
• Ability to manage Month End Close activities
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
