We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team located in Napa, California. The primary function of this role is to manage and coordinate both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties within our organization. This role operates within the industry of vineyard management and winery, offering an engaging opportunity.


Responsibilities:


• Manage the accounts payable process across all entities, ensuring timely and accurate bill entry

• Handle daily cash receipts and resolve customer account inquiries

• Assist with monthly vineyard management billing and annual grape billing

• Monitor and respond to vendor inquiries, resolving any discrepancies or issues related to payments

• Perform data entry tasks, including intercompany invoices and billing

• Assist the Director of Accounting with various tasks and projects

• Conduct banking activities, including deposits, payments, and transfers

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring accounts payable activities are up to date

• Maintain organized and thorough records of all transactions and support documentation

• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

• Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is required

• Experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is necessary

• Familiarity with billing procedures and invoice processing is essential

• Must have strong data entry skills

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
