Job Summary
Join a fun and dynamic construction company as our Accounting Manager! This key role oversees accounting operations, supports human resource processes, and helps establish new policies and procedures to drive operational success. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in QuickBooks and ADP, and the ability to manage a hybrid work environment. Being bilingual is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
Manage and support a team of 3–5 accounting staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
Handle month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and job costing for construction projects.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and optimize processes within QuickBooks for efficiency and accuracy.
Human Resource Duties
Implement and oversee HR policies, including PTO, hybrid work setups, and workplace guidelines.
Support employee onboarding and payroll processes, leveraging ADP.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure policies align with company culture and goals.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR-related matters, fostering a positive workplace environment.
Process Improvement & Leadership
Develop and implement new rules, policies, and processes to enhance accounting and HR operations.
Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows.
Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, including management experience.
Construction industry experience is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP payroll systems.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Soft Skills:
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, fun, and evolving environment.
Additional Requirements:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
