BBSI is seeking part-time Accounting Clerk for an amazing organization in San Bernardino.
M-F
29 hours per week
$17 - $20 an hour
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES:
- Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and ledgers.
- Assist in filing and organizing financial documents.
- Help with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
- Assist in managing office supplies and equipment used by the finance team.
- Utilize accounting software to input and manage financial data.
- Assist in maintaining and updating financial databases.
- Provide support for any finance-related software issues or upgrades.
- Handle food cards for STOP participants.
- Handle rent payments from SLE housing.
- Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing and scanning.
- Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Financial Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have the ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Must be able to accomplish a task thoroughly with concerns for all aspects, no matter how small.
- Must be able to express themselves clearly and effectively when talking with individuals.
- Must work well with others, taking time to assist coworkers, consumers, and others to achieve their goals and assignments, using tact.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License and/or California Identification.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. A minimum of 1 years’ work experience in Accounts
Payable/Receivables recommended.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have reasonable mental and physical ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able
