Accounting Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on Accounts Payable and will be responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records within the commercial leasing industry. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $23/hr. depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and contracts.

  • Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.

  • Schedule and prepare payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

  • Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments and avoid late fees.

  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve any issues with vendors.

  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries promptly.

  • Address and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.

  • Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports and summaries.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounts payable processes.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is highly preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the commercial leasing industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements

Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
