Exciting opportunity!! Robert Half is seeking an entry level Accounting Clerk for a tax firm located in Ann Arbor, MI. This position is FULLY ONSITE. In this role you will assist with preparing taxes, as well as provide administrative support. If you're looking to gain experience in the tax industry, apply today! Starting pay up to $21/hr
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with general accounting principles
- Previous work experience with high volume data entry
- Entering and coding invoices
- Must possess good communication skills to follow up with and schedule client appointments
Responsibilities:
- Assist with any tax preparation including schedule appointments.
- Greet all incoming visitors and staff
- Provide organization to filling system such as hard copy, soft copy that are related to the job
- Directing communications between colleagues and customers
- Manage company email system and preparing written responses for various routine inquiries of the company
- Follow up with customers and staff about updated information needed to complete tasks
- Overall business support
- Oversee, manage, and direct all incoming and outbound calls/mail
- Organizing schedules and scheduling meetings on behalf of executives
- Creating agendas for meetings
- Providing information to both staff and visitors by answering questions and or transferring to appropriate parties both in person and or over the phone
- Entering data using Microsoft Office Systems
- Maintaining office equipment and ordering supplies
- Copy, fax, and mail appropriately• Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a relevant role
• Proficient in Tax Preparation and Tax Preparer duties
• Capable of handling High-Volume Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Scheduling Appointments and Calendar Management
• Ability to manage Switchboards and Phone lines (1-10 lines)
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Tax Consulting industry
