Position Overview:

The Accounting Clerk role is an essential entry level position on our AMG Accounting Team. You will be responsible for Account Receivables and collections with our vendors and clients, along with continuous learning and training on the other facets of the Accounting Department. This role is great for someone who has a few years of experience in Accounting or Finance department and is looking to continue to grow and learn. AMG is a fun, face paced environment working with many vendors and clients.

Highlighted Responsibilities*

Accounting Practices:

  • Organize and enter daily transactions into accounting software
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Ensure accuracy of accounts by reconciling statements, transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Help to maintain financial security with accounting controls put in place, completing data backups and keeping financial historical records

Vendor and Client Relationship:

  • Maintain vendor files, respond to vendor inquiries
  • Validate vendor invoices, schedule and prepare vendor payments
  • Receive client payments, reconcile and distribute client invoices, contact delinquent accounts

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years of Billing Clerk, Accounting Clerk or other finance department experience
  • Financial software knowledge – Quick Books
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), attention to detail and accuracy are a must
  • Degree or Certificate in Accounting or Finance
  • Must be able to come to the Rocky Hill, CT office 3 days a week,
