Salary: $65,000-$70,000 Annually

The Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for managing and controlling disbursements of company funds, as well as tuition funds held in custodial accounts for Edcor clients, following established company procedures. The Accounting Analyst ensures that billing and other account collection procedures are current and accurate.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Ensures all A/P disbursements are accurate and properly authorized, must also be recorded accurately concerning general ledger account and cost center coding.
  • Maintains vendor contract files, vendor W-9s, and approved vendor lists.
  • Records cash receipts and reports accounts receivable status timely and accurately.
  • Maintains custodial bank account registers and prepares bank account reconciliations timely and accurately. Resolves any discrepancies identified.
  • Maintains information on various diversity websites for the company.
  • Researches financial information requests from the Controller and others.
  • Assist with various accounting functions as assigned and provide backup assistance as necessary for other accounting functions.

  • An ability to work with numbers and calculations consistently and accurately.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibility and daily work.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college with a major in Accounting.
  • Two years of progressive experience as an Accounting Analyst, or related position.
  • Experience with automated general ledger software and report-writing tools.
  • Solid understanding of Accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
