Job Description
At Vault Accounting we are looking for a business-minded Accounting Manager who embodies leadership and teamwork. This individual will take ownership of our dynamic accounting team and play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization’s accounting department and activities. The position demands a professional who can ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records, policies, and practices.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the organization’s daily accounting functions
- Managing the accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
- Working with executive team to guide the organization’s financial decisions
- Communicating regularly with (and often reporting to) the CAO
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Maintaining the general ledger system
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting
- Verify the accuracy of all job costs as well as the reconciliation of all subledgers to the general ledger (A/P, A/R, cash management, equipment, payroll)
- Supervise and build a strong accounting and office team to fit the needs of our growing company
- Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of an accounting professional
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
· Three years Supervisory experience
· Proven ability to lead and develop a team of professionals
· Well-developed proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general ledger skills

Compensation, Work Hours, and Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt (Monday – Friday) position split between our Layton and Salt Lake City, UT office.
