Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of Mancini’s Bakery. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, manage budgets, and support strategic decision-making. This role is critical to maintaining our company’s financial health and enabling sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
· Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
· Conduct financial analyses and develop performance metrics to support management decision-making.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
· Develop and implement cost saving processes and controls.
· Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and efficiency.
· Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
· Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation.
· Provide support to the President with business matters, including licenses, insurance and compliance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
· Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word and Bill.com.
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
· Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial team members.
· Experience in the food or manufacturing industry is a plus.
