Job Overview:
The Retirement Partners team within LPL’s Investment Management Solutions (IMS) group is responsible for delivering a highly competitive set of retirement solutions for plan-focused advisors, including the product offering and roadmap, pricing strategy, and promotional activities. The team’s goal is to enhance our advisor experience by enabling growth through an expanded focus beyond traditional plan business.
The role, Senior Vice President of Retirement Products and Platforms, will have general management and leadership responsibility of the Retirement Partners group that includes a product and platform team, an operations team, and a sales/consulting team. In addition, this role will work closely with LPL’s Research, Legal, Product Risk, Finance, Sales, Comprehensive Advice, and Marketing/Communication teams to collectively enable better plan and participant outcomes delivered through advisors.
This Role Will:
Support the execution and ongoing management of initiatives the Retirement Partners group is responsible for, working in collaboration with cross-functional departments. Contribute to the evolution of plan business to meet the needs of large institutional clients. Develop and launch new offerings that fuel net new plan growth. Expand offerings for Small Business Owner workplace benefits with NQDC and creation of Cash Balance Plan. Engage directly with advisors to seek feedback on products and articulate the roadmap in a way that is inclusive to holistic wealth management business. Provide leadership on a variety of retirement solution projects, including technology development within an agile framework methodology.
The position requires a candidate with broad retirement plan experience. The ability to lead and to operate in partnership with other teams within Business and Investment Solutions and across the organization is critical to the role. Experience with leadership in transforming and executing are baseline skills required of the role.
Responsibilities:
Act as a leader and strategic expert for all aspects of Retirement Partners Product and Platform offerings including BOR, 401k, NQDC, 403b, HSAs.
Partner with other leaders in Investment Management Solutions to support departmental and firm-wide initiatives.
Provide thought leadership to enhance/evolve LPL Retirement Product roadmap and commercialization strategy.
Partner with product risk to improve our approach to ongoing monitoring. Own the resolution of specific issues with plan business.
Track regulatory changes and industry/competitor developments in terms of product, pricing, policy, and platform experience within the retirement plan space.
Provide expertise in the offerings and consult with Marketing and Communication team members on product attractiveness and change management.

Experience working in a demanding environment with highly driven professionals. Experience managing complex cross-team projects and processes. Excellent presentation skills, including advanced level PowerPoint skills, strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners. Preferences: MBA or relevant graduate degree. Pay Range: $185,600.00 - $309,400.00 Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
