About NBI:

NBI offers specialized psychological assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults at multiple locations in South Florida. NBI provides outpatient and intensive treatment, including an internationally recognized intensive treatment program for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Severe Anxiety, and Related Disorders. These programs are often provided in combination with NBI Ranch, our nearby residential support program.

Location: Weston, Florida

Job Description:As an Accounting Specialist specializing in patient billing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes. You will work closely with our finance and administrative teams to manage patient accounts, process invoices, and facilitate payment collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and process invoices for patient services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage patient accounts receivable, including tracking balances, processing payments, and resolving billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage, submit claims, and reconcile payments
  • Review and update financial agreements and payment plans in accordance with patient needs and organizational policies
  • Conduct regular audits of billing records to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide support to patients and internal stakeholders regarding billing inquiries, payment options, and financial assistance programs
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Medical billing experience is preferred
