Accounting Clerk Position

We are a wholesale distributor of parts and equipment for the Appliance Parts and Heating & Air Conditioning industries. We are currently looking for a dependable, full time individual to work in our Accounting Department located in Edgewater, MD. The applicant must be dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with solid customer service skills. We offer excellent Compensation & Benefits Package, including Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and 401K.
Requirements:
A. A working knowledge of the following:
- Accounts Receivables
- Collections and procedures
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Posting Receipts to our customer’s accounts
- Balancing cash receipts from our branches
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices
B. Telephone Etiquette Skills to respond to our customers’ requests and needs
C. Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
A. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting functions
B. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
C. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
D. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
E. Ability to meet deadlines
