We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the detail-oriented Services industry, located in DES MOINES, Iowa, 50309-2331, United States. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be tasked with overseeing a team of accountants, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and executing departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage a team of accountants, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency within the department.
• Set performance expectations and goals for the team, while providing career development advice and mentorship.
• Ensure monthly reporting timelines and reconciliation deadlines are met, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
• Fill in during vacancies, ensuring the continuity and smooth running of operations.
• Regularly communicate with leadership regarding any significant variances or specific community needs.
• Assist team members in responding to requests and resolving complex problems.
• Train employees on financial systems and other financial-related topics.
• Contribute to policy, procedure and best practice documentation to enhance the operating quality and effectiveness of the department.
• Assist with the design, development, and implementation of new or enhanced financial systems, including updates to instructions, enhancements to models and testing changes.
• Participate as a department team member by assisting co-workers with overloads as time permits, training new co-workers, and contributing to team projects.• Demonstrated experience in the detail-oriented services industry
• Proficiency in Financial Statement analysis
• Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation
• Experience in compiling Monthly Financial Statements
• Ability to mentor and train new hires effectively
• Expertise in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Proven track record in managing Month End Close processes
