RSS is the second largest provider of highway striping and pavement markings for roads and parking lots throughout the US. As a result of both organic growth and acquisitions we are searching for experienced Accounting Manager to join our team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure timely completion of the monthly close process. This includes supporting and working with other team members regarding accounts payable and working with Operating companies accounting and finance team members
- Create and post general ledger entries for intercompany transactions, bank transactions, and payroll transactions related to benefits, taxes, processing fees, and other deductions
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Complete monthly account reconciliations, review sub-ledger data and resolve reconciling items
- Record fixed asset changes and run depreciation
- Assist in the analysis of financial information including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, annual budget, and ad hoc reports as requested by management
- Identify and assist with corrective actions regarding variances or process related issues
- Track annual capital expenditure purchases against budget
- Act as point person for the annual audit and provide requested documentation
- Support A/P, A/R, and Payroll functions as needed
- Exposure to M&A activity and purchase accounting transactions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Experience Required:
- Understands and is comfortable with GAAP accounting
- Experience with month-end process and closing a set of books
- Good Communicator (will work with all Op Co's)
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting degree required
- CPA is preferred, but if good experience wouldn't be required
- Self-starter and willing to dive in
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
