Join Our Team as an Accounting Wizard!

Are you ready to dive into the world of numbers and make magic happen? As our Accounting Clerk, you’ll be the hero behind processing and reconciling premium receipt transactions, managing financial transactions related to vendor payments and expenses, and reporting to the Accounting Manager. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, includes:


  • Handling Premium Cash Receipts: Process, balance, and reconcile cash like a pro.
  • Clearing Suspense Items: Investigate and resolve those pesky suspense items.
  • Payment Processing: Monitor and process payments with precision


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Fund Processing: Manage premium receipts and refunds.
  • Suspense Items: Review and process un-posted items, transfer misdirected payments, and make remote deposits.
  • Payment Monitoring: Handle stop pays, positive pay, and NSF items.
  • Commission Reconciliation: Adjust monthly agent commission payments.
  • Discrepancy Clearing: Resolve any balancing discrepancies.
  • Electronic Transfers: Initiate ACH transfers.
  • Invoice Management: Receive, process, and verify invoices.
  • Vendor Payments: Schedule and process payments to vendors.
  • Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts.
  • Invoice Entry: Enter invoices into the system.
  • Check Printing and Mailing: Print and mail checks.
  • Invoice Filing: File paid invoices and research them for departments.
  • Vendor Inquiries: Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Duplicate Payment Prevention: Ensure no duplicate payments slip through.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate transaction records for tax purposes.
  • Escheat Process: Assist with the escheat process.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend ways to enhance efficiency and customer service.
  • Operational Support: Support accounting department procedures and practices.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup to other key areas within the department.
  • Document Maintenance: Keep accurate and complete documents and files for audit.
  • Administrative Support: Provide clerical support for the department.
  • Year-End Reporting: Assist with year-end reporting requirements (audit support/1099s).


What We're Looking For:

      • Education: An Associate’s degree (A.A./A.A.S.) from a 2-year college or university is preferred but not required.
      • Experience: 0-2 years in accounts receivable/billing/payables or customer service. Insurance industry experience is a plus!
      • Tech Savvy: Experience working with company computer systems/databases.
