LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Bloomfield Twp. They are an accounting firm who is seeking an Office Manager to support their firm. The ideal candidate would have experience within an accounting firm and at least 3+ years of office management experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Looking for someone to drive the operations of the business and the accountants.

  • New documents provided from clients will flow through the office manager - it will be there responsibility to onboard and disperse documentation and workflow to the accountants.

  • They will keep up on the accountants workload and the workflow of the accountants and also new business that comes in.

  • Run and manage office reports

  • Help prioritize what the accountants should be working on based on accounting cycle and calendar

  • Must have a strong understanding of the accounting calendar year.

  • Manage records and information

  • Plan and maintain work facilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to management team

  • Encourage and improve cross-department internal communication

  • Perform other office tasks (replenish office supplies, distribute mail, custodial duties, etc.)

  • Assemble Tax Returns

  • Manage Staff Calendars

  • Mail Proposals to customers

  • Receive and post Customer Payments

  • Process credit card payments

  • Run credit card payments & Batch Out Transactions

  • Answer phones

  • Print/review timecards and research/correct erroneous or missing time punches

  • AR/AP

  • AR Collections Calls/Statements

  • General Contractor Invoices/Payment Applications

  • Make quarterly estimated tax payment

  • Review and mail/hand distribute W2’s

  • City Business License Renewals

  • Annual Corporation Renewal

  • Annual LLC Renewals

  • Other duties as assigned
     

Other:

They really are looking for someone that can drive the business and workflow of the entire office. Candidate must know the ins and outs of an accounting office, tax seasons and accounting deadlines.

Hours: 9-5, not really expected to work the extended hours the accountants are during tax season. Will need to work overtime during tax season.

Experience:

  • Years of experience: 3-5 years of managing an Accounting firm - would consider candidates that have managed a law firm since there are some similarities regarding deadlines, documentation and hourly billing

  • Degree required-No, but preferred - experience can replace degree

Compensation: $55-$65k (maybe a small stretch based on experience)

Benefits: 1-2 yrs 1 week PTO, after 2 years 2 weeks; 60%-70% healthcare coverage depending on which plan is chosen. Remainder healthcare, dental, vision and dependents are covered by employee



Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
