We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager, Technical Accounting to join our controllership team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex accounting matters and implement process improvements. You'll be a key player in establishing new accounting policies and supporting financial reporting cycles.
Job Description
What you will do
• Establish and document new accounting policies, ensuring cross-functional implementation.
• Design and implement process improvements in consolidation and financial reporting.
• Conduct technical research and document conclusions for complex accounting transactions.
• Prepare consolidated annual financial statements under US GAAP standards and associated disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors on key accounting matters and support accounting and finance teams during audits.
• Lead special projects and address reporting and general accounting issues.
• Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting staff on technical accounting matters.

• Proven experience conducting in-depth technical research and presenting findings clearly.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams in implementing accounting policies.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Big4 public accounting and/or large public companies, ideally in the technology sector.
• Familiarity with SOX and SEC reporting is a plus.
The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000- $150,000 USD annually and is just one component of SymphonyAI's comprehensive compensation package. Additional compensation may include participation in a bonus program. SymphonyAI also offers a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, self-care days, and paid time off (PTO).
This position is hybrid based in our Palo Alto, CA office. However, we are open to considering remote candidates who are highly qualified and reside in the Eastern Time Zone
