CGP Accounting Manager Job at Century Group in Berkeley

Century Group is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager on behalf of an established, stable Construction Company in the Berkeley area. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $110,00 to $125,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company, including developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
• Other responsibilities include preparing processing all necessary tax and regulatory reports reviewing and approving all vendor and subcontractor invoices and managing cash flow and ensure adequate funding for ongoing projects
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and work closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting for all projects

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Vista Viewpoint or Sage)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• CPA designation preferred but not required
