2 days Remote and 3 days in office.

 

Description:

This Associate position is primarily responsible for accounting and financial reporting support, including but not limited to: company insurance product portfolio and reinsurance accounting support. The candidate for this position is expected to be detail-oriented with basic knowledgeable of U.S. GAAP standards to ensure compliance. The candidate is responsible for supporting with data validations, preparing journal entries with proper support documentation, creating reports, and is expected to provide analysis of key drivers within the function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support assigned month-end close tasks, including monthly / quarterly/ annual variance analysis, and quarter end reporting support

2. Prepare assigned monthly general ledger account reconciliations; conduct preliminary investigations regarding variances as needed

3. Assist with reinsurance accounting programs with data validation, submitting payment requests to dealers

4. Process daily cash and intercompany wire transfers, prepare journal entries and post in Oracle.

5. Assist with ad-hoc projects when required and perform other duties as assigned

 

Skills:

General accounting background with an understanding of U.S. GAAP ·

Proficiency in Microsoft Office. ·

Strong analytical and organizational skills; problem solver. ·

Strong interpersonal communication skills. ·

Ability to manage multiple priorities and detail oriented. ·

Must be able to establish a high level of credibility with all levels of internal operations and external clients. ·

High level of integrity, work ethic, and a team player. ·
