GPW is searching for new Accounting Analysts to join its Client Services team made up of a diverse team of hardworking, bright, curious, and highly motivated employees. In this role, you will focus on supporting a variety of clients while performing a wide array of tasks including but not limited to: preparation of journal entries, maintenance of general ledgers and trial balances, preparation of financial statements, federal and state income tax returns (as applicable) for producer affiliated reinsurance companies (PARC’s), dealer owned warranty companies (DOWC’s) and/or captive insurance company clients. Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting records and financial information including preparation and posting of journal entries, accrual adjustments, and reconciliations of general ledger and bank/investment accounts
  • Prepare interim period, quarterly, and/or annual financial statements on a statutory basis and/or GAAP basis as needed
  • Coordinate quarterly tax estimates and payments for assigned clients and maintain appropriate documentation by accurately updating GPW’s CRM tool with new client information
  • Leverage existing knowledge to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting to meet client demands
  • Develop and utilize a basic understanding of financial statements and tax returns while using internal propriety systems, CRM, and QuickBooks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • Must have a high level of initiative, positivity, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced and high-demand work environment
  • Must be highly organized, comfortable with change and ambiguity, solution-oriented, and resourceful
  • Must have effective communication skills, strong work-ethic, and a high-level of personal integrity
  • Must have general knowledge pertaining to SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code/Regulations.
  • Must have advanced proficiency and experience using Excel as well as strong knowledge of Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks.
  • Enthusiastic about working in the office for the first three months before being eligible for Hybrid work which includes 2 days in office (Employees can also chose to work in the office full time)
