About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Accounting Department in the Transportation and Warehousing industry at our Corporate Headquarters located in Monmouth Junction, NJ. As an Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in various tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and data entry. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in the accounting field and the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or work experience in accounting
• Familiarity with GAAP and other accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
• Support the accounting team in financial reporting
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with team members to complete ad-hoc projects
