This position reports to

Global Procurement & Logistics Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The work model for the role is: hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for: Establishing and driving strategies in collaboration with plants and sourcing that lead to sustainable improvements in the incoming quality from supply base while managing the supplier quality life-cycle. Performing Supplier Quality Audits in line with ABB procedures to ensure suppliers meet or exceed ABB Quality standards. Being an expert in driving problem solving using Root Cause Analysis / 8D process. Setting targets and driving improvements in supplier quality using metrics such as Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), etc.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's degree in engineering. Minimum 3 years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality with a significant portion of experience spent in dealing with supplier quality issues. Preferred experience with categories such as raw materials (steel, copper, aluminum), plastic resins, injection molded parts, sheet metal and stampings, fasteners, and castings as well as knowledge of quality standards such as IATF 16949. Strong oral and written communication in English with problem solving and change management facilitation skills. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
