Senior Associate of Accounting Job at Matrix Executive Search, LLC in Willow Gro

An integrated financial management firm that provides Accounting, Tax, Business Advisory, Investment Banking and Wealth Management services to its clients is seeking an experienced Senior Associate if Accounting to join its headquarters finance team. The Senior Associate of Accounting will be responsible for working closely with the accounting and advisory client service teams focused on helping closely held business owners achieve financial success. The Senior Associate of Accounting will provide the full realm of accounting services and financial statement preparation and reporting to the firm’s clients.

Responsibilities:

• Take lead on delivery of accounting services, including preparations, compilations, and reviews, while ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Assist in providing advisory services related to entity setup and restructuring, budgeting/forecasting, capital transactions, and financial analysis.
• Develop a strong understanding of client operations and processes to offer practical advice and solutions.
• Support the development and mentorship of staff accountants, helping them grow their skills.
• Assist in maintaining long-term relationships with clients, building trust and acting as a point of contact for client inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for improving client services and assist in expanding the firm’s client base.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; advanced degree highly desirable, but not mandatory                                                                                                                                                         
• CPA certification or progress toward is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with exposure to private/closely-held businesses in lower middle market across a variety of industries.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in business transitions or M&A is a plus.
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
• Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and QuickBooks.
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
