We are a industry leader for commercial kitchen supplies seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist for our growing team. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to general Full Cycle accounting, assist with monthly sales tax filing preparation and maintaining accurate records. Job qualifications include being detail-oriented, motivated, and having accounting experience. Successful candidates must possess the ability to learn new tasks quickly.

Responsibilities:

A/P

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
  • Match invoices with supporting documentation and obtain proper approvals
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
  • Other office duties as needed

A/R

  • Process service tickets in our system to generate invoices
  • Record payments from customers to various accounts
  • Bank Recon for deposits to ensure all payments received are recorded
  • Month End Statements processing and support for questions from customers
  • Prepare daily check deposits and enter into system
  • Take Credit Card payments / Post daily batches

Misc.

  • Monitor and resolve issues from email accounts
  • Preparation of Commission Statements and various reports for manufacturers
  • Bank Reconciliation and review of discrepancies
  • Special projects as related to accounting

Qualifications:

  • Technical accounting knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ideally familiar with Sage100
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Experience with account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
  • Ability to perform 10-key typing with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
